Upgrade CDs Arrived. Got free RPV upgrade!

Got the MWM5 upgrade CDs on the 7th, a family member just gave me the CDs today. Wasn't planning on upgrading anyhow. Too many issues, and don't want to be in that boat. The % chance to get a non-problematic installation and success isn't all that high. Seems like everyone has issues somewhere.

I browsed the two CDs, couldn't find a stand-alone Voice Command install file, but did find one for Resco Picture Viewer, which installed nicely on MWM2003SE.

Looks like the rest of the programs are demonsstations or trials. So just got one application upgrade out of the deal.

Now to wait for all you unpaid unknowing alpha/beta testers to get all the kinks worked out before I even think of upgrading.

Weighing the pros and cons, the only two advantages I see is persisent memory (uses up the read/writes faster) to get slower performance, and longer battery life.

Cons are too numerous to list, besides the fact if the Axim is turned off, it is really off, and no more alarms on schedules. Batteries are draining fast I hear, so much for longer battery life. Crashes, freezes, program incompatablities, more upgrades for software, beta version of software till MS/Palm/Dell decide on a happy medium.

No thank you. MY Axim is working 120% above effeciency. No issues. No crashes. no battery drains. No complaints. No worries.

Why make things worse? Do I have "glutton for undue punishment" written on my ass?
