Alas, uninstalling Kaspersky did not solve my problem. Windows eror reporting says its a bad device driver. I have two computers. Both crash trying to use cable. One crashes with bluetooth (other computer doesn't have BT). The other computer will crash using IR as the connection. As soon as it starts to retrieve settings, poof.

I am also sufferring the blue crash screen as I already follow all the instruction above.....
A little more luck, I can still activesync via IR and BT, althought the BT connection can not stay alive when try to install software from my Acer notebook which is with Chinese XP.
I am tired of surfing around finding solutions for this bug. Now I always copy the CAB files of the big software via SD or CF card reader, and install it direct on X50v. For small sorftware, I just install via IR.
