So I was able to update to wm5 on mt x50v yesterday, and I've been using it for 24 hours. I used some of the tips posted at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=104366 and everything has been working GREAT. No battery drain problem (I left my Axim out for 7 hours and it was still at 100% battery power.) The operating system runs noticeably faster than WM2003SE, the menus snap up instantly and programs run quite quickly. IE Mobile and Word Mobile have some noticeable improvements. CAB files can be installed to your choice of location without a cab installer and cabs are not deleted.

In short, I'm loving WM5. I feel bad for the people having problems with it, because it's working perfectly for me, I even have OzVGA running.
