Deftech nailed it right on the head. I worked 2 years at The Wiz, which WAS a very good competitor to Circuit City in the NY area (Until most of their stores were shut down). They literally would teach newbies the specs right off of the cards that are displayed under the products, basically just asking them to memorize it. I worked there, and it amazed me how little most salespeople knew about the products they sold. I have always been an audio/video freak, and I also got all of the hard questions, but that lead to a managers position rather quickly. See... sometimes being a tech freak can actually make you money, instead of costing you money constantly.;)

Main point... take whatever a salesperson says into consideration (you can tell most of the time if they know what they are talking about), but always do your own research when buying a fairly recent piece of technology.
