I had the same problem with my X51v not being able to access the web. It showed that it is connected to my home wireless but when opening IE, it would say "the page cannot be found".
But these two days of trying, i think i found a way to solve this, tried it twice to confirm that it would work. So share it here.
My home wireless is a SpeedTouch 570 wireless modem, so not too sure whether it is a generic solution. Try at your own risk.
1. Press the "DEFAULT" pin behind the modem. This should get the modem back to factory default.
2. Activate your wifi on the X51v. It should be able to see your network. Select it and enter password, if any.
3. Now, you should see that your X51v is connected to your home network. At this pt, if i access IE, it would prompt the "page cannot be found" msg. Just ignore it and close IE. Leave your PPC on.
4. Insert the modem installation disk on your PC/laptop and follow instruction to configure your modem.
5. After this, you should be able to access internet on both your PC/laptop and PPC. If you skip step 4, you will not be able to access internet on PC/laptop/PPC.
Hope this helps.
