psshutxp, x51v, WM5 full power off
Can one use the utility psshutxp to do an actual full power-off of the PDA? Even though I disabled ActiveSync the PDA is still waking up and spinning the microdrive which makes noises in a quiet room. If I was actually getting some use out of it I wouldn't mind the noise but when in standby it is just wasting battery and making noise.
In psshutxp, "power off" and "display off" seem to do the same thing for me. Perhaps there is a subtle difference in that display off keeps the applications running as if you were on. But I'd like to be able to do a full power off so I can use the "press and hold" feature of the power button for something else.
Although, fixing the microdrive and phantom issues would be easier so I don't wear my drive and waste my battery for nothing.
