I'm not sure how ksong lucked out, but my newly installed WM5 with NOTHING RUNNING only leaves me with about 25MB of free RAM. Another 25 are permanently in use, presumably by the OS. And the other 14 are completely unaccounted for.
As for flashing back to 2003... good luck. My attempt to do so resulted in a completely crippled Axim. The "align screen" part of bootup was obscenely slow, and once I finally got in, the whole machine was running like a snail. A soft reset made it worse... I never got into the OS again. I had to reinstall WM5 all over again.
This thing is a complete failure.
