What I did was install PHM powertoys (
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=766) and used the clipboard input panel. If you paste something to the input panel, and then use it paste into your app, it simulates typing, so it worked. It's not VGA aware, but it worked.
