Uninstalled Microsoft active syn 4.0 and previous version of avantgo as suggested and change server setting of sync.avantgo.com to the numbers given. Still not working.

No issues at all. Simple install and go. Try syncing manually (go to settings/connections/avantgo connect/ and syncing there.... I don't use Activesync for Avantgo.
