The .mui file doesn't replace AcroRd32.exe but sits next to it in the same directory. So you would copy acrord32.exe.0409.mui into the directory that has acrord32.exe.
The trick here is that renaming the .mui file to ?????.exe.0409.mui so that ????? matches the name of the .exe file will add vga-aware support to that program. So you can copy and rename the .mui file for use with any other program that you think needs to be made vga-aware.
I think tweaks2k2 has a feature to add the correctly named .mui file to any program of your choosing.
