There are several people that recommend 100mb per half hour of video and that seems to yield a pretty good quality. You can also keep the bit rate down for the sound. I usually use 96kb/s.

That is what I use and it works very well! :approve: I can usually get two, sometimes three movies on a 1GB card. Good Stuff!
