First of, getting a video file on my CF card on my Axim is a pain in the butt! It probably takes over one hour for 700 MB (you can tell how it's working by going to settings>storage card>CF card, and it shows how its filling last I can remember it goes at ~0.30 MB per second. If you leave the Axim and the computer transfering alone the transfering is faster (a high of ~.4-.6 per sec) So put your most favorite movie on your CF card!
As for SD slot - I have one in my computer and it works really fast 700 MBs in about 10-15 minutes (probably less if I don't mess around with my PC all the time. I think I got it transfered in 7-8 minutes once)
This is all from the top of my head! These are not fixed rates!
P.S. I'm using a Lexar 1GB Compact Flash card - I picked it up at a local Sam's Club for a great price.
I'm going to post on SD card performance of a video file in TCPMP very soon (in a couple of minutes).
