Hmm... guess we have different reasons for checking out tcpmp and CF & SD reperformance.

Let me share mine.

I really wish to watch some DVD on the move on my X50V, however quite sick of all this format conversion. The objective would be anytime I wish to bring along a DVD movie, just copy the VOB files into X50V external storage.

What is need for X50V to do the job?
1. A player that can handle VOB (Mpeg2) and AC3 files
2. Some mass storage, and fast enough to do provide the VOB data file.
How Big? Either 4.7GB or 9.2GB
How Fast? 900kb/s is the DVD 1X speed.

TCPMP with FFMPEG and AC3 plugin does the Job 1.
CF microdrive or SD card provide does the Job 2, they typically can do much more than 1MB/s on via PC USB2.

However, as I test out, what is stopping me is :
X50V SD transfers seems like able to do only 730KB/s
X50V CF transfers something like 600KB/s

I have yet to confirm if limitation is due to CF/SD transfer or TCPMP.
Once i get some data into X50V RAM as comparsion, i will have conclusion if TCPMP could be another fallguy as well (i doubt so).

Anyone has some other creative but sensible solution?
