No Power

My X5 is notorious for draining the backup battery disc. The disc typcially needs to be changed every 3-4 months, sometimes sooner.
This morning I tried to turn on the unit and there's no power. Placed it in the cradle and there's no connection, however, the orange light on top of the screen lights up and the "DELL" on the cradel lights up. Things worked well a couple of days ago.

Suggestions?

Thanks.
