You should be good to go with your X5 w/BT CF card for local driving. I began with the same type setup and all was OK. It's going to be based on your software and how much memory it takes to navigate the map segments you're using at the time.

It is heartening to know it is possible. Do u have any idea how much memory is eaten by the BT CF card driver? Usually driver should not eating a lot of memory. From an old review on internet, Routis does support BT gps.
