I use iPlay, and for MP3s, it taxes the processor very little (under 20% with no reverb and no cross-feed). It also has a screen toggle on/off mapped to a hardware button (the record button on the x51v). with WM5, I haven't had a problem with the screen coming back on after every track.
With the extended battery, I get at least 6 hours of music, but I haven't timed it to know exactly how much.
