Mobility Site - View Single Post - I dont understand, V.Dub wont convert already in mpg form?

I am confused. I am able to encode the DVD that I converted with Flask... but the MPG, and AVI files which I already have collected are not able to be opened, by Flask, or Virtual DUB. How can I take an AVI or MPEG movie I already have, and convert it???
