I think after the unit crashed ..the thing is hard reseted .. therefore you need to go into "start"--->>> "settings"--->>> "about"--->>> "device ID"
you need to rename the unit to match the profile name you had previously ... the default after a hard reset is "pocket_PC" ..
if that doesn't work then on your PC ..go to activesync window and delete the current partnership and try syncing again ...you should be able to establish a NEW partnership ;)
