The safest bet is to get a Hitachi that is in a Retail package. CompUSA, and Best Buy all have mail in rebates, or online places such as ZipZoomFly or NewEgg also have really good prices on the the Hitachi MicroDrive.

If you do a search, you will find that most of the Seagates are OEM and won't work. Its a hit or miss, and if it was my money, I wouldn't risk it.

If you get a Seagate Micrrodrive make sure it doens't say anything on the back refering to firmware. If it says FW 3.04, it will not work. Look for ones that dont specify a firmaware version. If they dont show an image of the back of the microdrive, ask for a picture.
