I agree with Jake. "Best" is extremely difficult to quantify among so many very capable GPS units out there. This G4850 mount has the SiRF III chipset and also has the latest firmware 3.1.1 (which has the fix for the jet-lag bug fix).

You can't ask for much more in a GPS car mount for the price/quality/features + two mounting options (vent and gooseneck).
