BT Dial-Up Networking (DUN)
Yesterday, I was sitting in my car waiting for my wife doing her Xmas shopping. I decided to give a try to establish BT DUN with WM5/MS BT stack. I thought you'd be interested to know.
I am using the LG-325 Sprint phone with Vision plan (all you can it data plan - They might've changed the name to something else..). Here are my steps:
1-Turn on BT on the phone and put it in listening mode waiting for pairing, Enter the code (e.g. 0000)
2-On the X50v w/BT on, I go to PIE/favorite and click on any link
3-A message pops up and ask for connection settings
4-Go to setting and add a modem, select bluetooth on the drop down menu
5-The Axim goes out and discovers my LG-phone and established the pairing, enter code, etc..
6-I give a name to the connection (e.g. Sprint), number to dial #777, any name..
And voila, I am online, surfing the net, checking my mail and listen to radio streaming...(just to see how well the streaming of BBC-TV...)
everything works seamlessly.
I realize the new MS BT stack has still some missing profiles (A2DP, Handfree HS) but the profiles that I am using (GPS, DUN), they work pretty well and very consistent.
Samething I have to say for WiFi.
