X5 Touchscreen Fix

Sounds to me like your touchscreen problems are both probably the ones quite common to the X5....

Fixing them will require you to open up the case of the X5 to do some cleaning of dust/debris around the inside edges of the screen and/or a VERY easy repair to one of the ribbon cables that connects the X5 motherboard to the screen (the "black tape fix").

To disassemble your X5, follow the directions at the following link:

By performing one/both of these fixes, I've been able to repair FOUR X5s with touchscreen problems that I bought for cheap off of eBay - all of which have performed flawlessly ever since!
