When you connect, what message do you get? Does AS start and try to connect or do you get a connection wizzard?
If AS is not starting: try a different USB port, make sure that it's a primary port (not through a hub). If AS is not starting you should be getting an
unrecognised USB device message from Windows, if that's the case, try an earlier version of AS (you can download from MS Mobile Home page).
