I guess i should try another solution but i am too stuborn to know when to quit..
I did some more tests today and I haven't really stopped to think out what is the likly block in the system or what the next step should be.
Perhaps someone with a good sense of logical deductions (Elementry dear TwoJ
) can deduce the problem and point me in the right direction.
The 1st test was to hard reset the x50v and create a partership on a virgin laptop with AS 3.7.1, I did a standard sync. Next I connected the laptop to the internet through a dial-up ISP connection, I then took the x50 and tried to remote sync through its wifi connection to my router;
ie: x50v->wifi->Linksys WRT54gs (w/dd-wrt firmware)->DSL ISP->internet ->modem ISP->Laptop w/ AS v3.7.1
This resulted in the "critical communications..." failure
The 2nd test was to connect the x50v through my cell phone to the internet;
ie: x50v->Cell Phone modem->Modem ISP->internet->modem ISP->Laptop w/ AS v3.7.1
This works! :approve:
However next is to resolve why the 1st setup is not working
I guess next i should attempt to see if i can sync with x50v->cell phone modem->Modem ISP->internet->DSL ISP-> Laptop w/ AS v3.7.1 and ->internet->DSL ISP->Linksys WRT54gs->Laptop w/ AS v3.7.1
If anyone has some ideas what could narrow down the search - i would appreciate any help
