Initially thats what i thought too, but as rsx said, it seems that the x50v dosent work as well with WM5 as a device that is native to WM5 does.
I want WM5 mainly for the improvments that WM5 has over WM2003SE, namely the whole ROM storage thing; but also since it will be the platform that developers will be supporting from now on.
