I was a Palm Zealot. IIIe, IIIc, IBM WorkPad c500 (m500). Seriously contemplated the Tungsten until I found out all the limitations and halfway efforts it contained. I tried to use some of the freeware tools to write some programs and it was incredibly tedious. Sure, CodeWarrior makes things easier, but I won't spend $500 on ANY software package, much less one for a hobby.
I figured if I was going to make the move to a new CPU, I might as well try the PPC. PalmOS kept letting me down. The application support was FAR superior, but I don't need 50 different ways to view Excel files without a fully compatible creation method.
I also found that the more entertaining my PDA was when I DIDN'T need it for work, the more likely I was to have it with me when I DID need it for work.
I bought the Axim for the flexibility of CF+SD, and the price. Honestly I was quite leery of buying ANYTHING from our friends in Texas. They have a significant reputation for shoddy products. So far, this is a happy exception.

I have heard it said that the death penalty is not enough of a deterrent.
I think that's because it takes too long to be carried out.
Bring back cruel and unusual punishment!
