Since when has Windows XP ever had an anti-piracy scheme?

I really doubt there will be anything preventing you from loading up two different devices. The only way ppc2003 can tell the difference between devices, would be through the device ID(If they are in fact unique). The install would have to be able to verify via the internet that the device it's being installed on is the same device that your copy was originally installed on.

This would require everyone to have internet access, but of course not everyone does, so microsoft would probably shy away from this sort of thing.

Since the install is distributed on CDs, it can't be in any way altered or deleted after it has been run.

As a side note, I'm not in any way endorsing piracy. In fact, I've already ordered my own personal copy for my one Axim. I'm just expressing my opinion, and what I believe the facts will be.
