Wow! A noise canceling appy would be pretty sweet!
Dont know of any software that would allow you to use your ax as a phone but I found a couple other apps you might want to look at.:)
Slim Pocket FTP Client
Cellular Phone and Network Connection Monitor
I have never tried them myself so I dont know if they are any good, but they might be worth a look.
