Wow, thanks for the quick replies!
I decided to go with the Kill ActiveSync one since it had an option to change the shortcut so no that no window would appear (add -Kill to end of file path in shortcut). I then made Start ActiveSync and a Stop ActiveSync shortcuts on my desktop.
BTW... I just found out that you must have the actual ActiveSync window closed before you run Kill ActiveSync, because if you don't, the one remaining ActiveSync process will restart the rest.
