The lithium-ion battery that powers your Axim is not suseptable to the "memory" peoblems the the older Ni-cad batteries were. I would suggest you charg you Axim every night unless you are a real light user, or carry a second battery pack. The first time your battery goes dead on you will be the time you needed your Axim the most (Murphy's Law).
