That is exactly what I was doing. After about 20 tries I finally got the SD Update screen and was able to flash the patched image. I should know soon if it made any difference or if the dreaded filesys.exe CPU hogging is still there.
During the SD update process it read the SD card and displayed the CRC on the bottom of the screen. I wonder if I can get that far with an invalid CRC file? If so, that might be a way of finding the CRC for a new mod.
