I'm using my Axim as my main MP3 player now, for the most part, and I don't notice any major digital noise coming from it, but I am also coming from the Nex II MP3 player, which never was one of the "better" MP3 players on the market.
There are also other MP3 players out there that, with use of the Equalizer, might be able to filter out all the crap...
Just a thought!
