I played with PHM for a few days with my x51v (A04, at the time). I had a lot of problems with the battery, memory, and speed displays disappearing and shifting; not it's most important features, but features I wanted to use. I had a few problems uninstalling it completely, too.
I tried XCPUScaler next. It's not without its warts, but it worked better on my x51v, was simpler to use, and was significantly less expensive. When the load is above 55%, I'm pushing it to 663MHz. It'll let you take it to 728MHz, but I'm not in that big a hurry (and chicken).
I've been using XCPUScaler for about a month with no problems. It doesn't have battery/memory displays, but does have power off and soft reset icons for the Today screen (which I like a lot). I'm using vBar for the battery/memory displays and task switching.
