I did not understand the question, but I have had this problem myself, whereas I know the password of the password-protected Excel files on the PC and I can't open them on the Pocket PC. And now that I am using WM5 on my Axim X51v, it seems that there is no way of password protecting a file in Excel Mobile. Previously, this was possible with Pocket Excel, although it seemed impossible to deal with password protected Excel files syncing on the PC and PPC. This is what I think our friend is complaining about, but now with Excel Mobile the situation is even worse...
