My 1st PDA was a Zire 21 that was given to me, which I loved and used alot to learn about the technology. I'm very set in the windows style and the Palm OS (albeit on an older smaller PDA) didn't feel right to me - navigating through the menus drove me crazy - the "Home" setup on my Axim is like this and I never use it. I like being able to modify the look of my Today Screen (desktop) and have that PC feel to it.
I forward personal email to my axim for when i'm at work, keep track of tasks and appts and passwords. It's a constant companion when I take trips to nyc and i'm on the bus or subway (I actually had a homeless lady ask me if I was using a computer and she thought it caused brain cancer
). I watch movies (shrunk from DVD) and practice spanish and play games. When I'm in a place with free wifi I browse... that's about it... since joining Aximsite i've been using it for more and more as I get great advice here - and all the freeware recommendations :approve:
