I tried XCPUScaler next. It's not without its warts, but it worked better on my x51v, was simpler to use, and was significantly less expensive. When the load is above 55%, I'm pushing it to 663MHz. It'll let you take it to 728MHz, but I'm not in that big a hurry (and chicken).
I've been using XCPUScaler for about a month with no problems. It doesn't have battery/memory displays, but does have power off and soft reset icons for the Today screen (which I like a lot). I'm using vBar for the battery/memory displays and task switching.

hey there ataren,
I just bought XCPUSCALAR for my x51v, and basically nothing works. I am on the new A06 rom, and am wondering if you can have it work upon startup? When I try it, it freezes my ax.
When I set it to auto-scale, it sticks at 624 even though I can watch a taskmanager program and see my CPU go below %10.
I really would like to know how to get this to work with the x51v. I would like to have it scale down my CPU. Not too interested in anything over 624.
