If you're using Outlook the next time you hard-reset open activesync on your PC before yoy sync, Switch to the Mobile Device Partnershio which had your PIM data stored then delete it but save the folders. Now when you sync and AS asks for a partnership name, use the one you deleted. All your PIMdata and files will be restored but you'll have to reinstall some programs.
