ARM/MIPS/SH3 signify the processor that your operating system runs on. The X51v is an Intel XScale ARM processor.
There are very few devices (that I know of) that use MIPS or SH3 processors, but obviously there are some or no-one would be making sure their programs run on them.....
If it says either ARM or XScale then you are good to go, if software has a choice between those two then you'd prefer the XScale as it will be more optimised for your cpu.
