I also use PocketDivxEncoder (the newest version 0.3.6). I leave the default video and audio settings for "VGA device". This gives near-DVD quality video with near-CD quality stereo sound. 2 hours of widescreen video fits on a 1GB card. I believe the bitrate is 1200. You could probably get by with lower than that, but I prefer higher quality to smaller file size.
