I have gps (OCN + bt-338) that I use all the time with my x30H. It's awesome, but you know, I found my way around to customers before using gps at all by using S&T on my laptop with no gps. For me, the best thing about gps nav software is the ability to go off route and get new directions (interstate blocke by accident, for instance, or just plain feel like exploring). Like Steve, I have all my customers pinned in S&T. Very convenient to be able to see all the information on a big screen.
S&T is awesome for what it is designed for.
1. The POI database is very extensive (for some reason, none of the big box retailers like Home Depot, Target, Walmart, etc show up in any s/w's POI)
2. The routing is phenomenal. Lightening fast. Multi-stop routing with route optimization if you so desire.
3. The ability to block out rectangular sections of a map to AVOID when routing -- man would I buy the first functional gps nav software that lets me avoid areas this way! One of the reasons I bought OCN was that I could route multiple way points, thus manually being able to avoid whole areas (like metro areas for instance)
4. The ability to snap the route to a different road. Man, how beautiful is that? Just drag and drop.
5. The price is right! Mine was almost free after rebate last year.
Too bad they could not transfer these features to a ppc version.
