Hey guys, I just recently joined the Axim X51v club. :) The first thing I did was get the Sena extended case, the Mugen 3300mAh battery, and the Boxwave Clear thouch crystal from aximcases.com

Anyways, After experimenting with different designs, I got the whole thing to charge/sync in the cradle. I noticed that if you don't use the mugen battery cover, the unit will sit in the crable and charge. But of course it won't turn on because of the missing battery cover. The mod is to take the flat dell cover, and cut out a small strip with the latches.

Install the 'latch strip', and lock the door which will enable the battery cover safty switch. Intall the battery, but don't put on the mugen door (you can't anyways with the 'latch strip'). Put the whole thing in the sena case which will keep the battery snugly together with the X51v. Now you can have your extended battery and sync/charge it in the cradle!

The only thing you lose is the dell battery cover which can be replaced cheaply. But then again, you won't ever use it again since you got that 3300mAh battery. :)
