Also might be a good way to wear out your Flash, given that Program memory is extremely dynamic... the faster Flash is only good for about 10,000 cycles. Not much of an issue for storage, but would last maybe an hour as Program storage.

I'm not sure this is true, for all types of flash. Like every computer-related technology, flash memory should be advancing at a blistering pace. Taken that WM5 uses the built-in flash ROM extensively, one might assume that the newer devices are built with a hardier Flash memory. I think also that it would be a good idea to free up RAM by caching inactive, running programs in ROM. I don't know if the OS would permit this, if it could be done with a 3rd party utility, through a shell, or what.
Don't quote me on the "hardier Flash" point, I am just theorizing here.
