Mobility Site - View Single Post - Unable to obtain a server assigned IP address

Hi there

been lurking for a while now - and sent the odd post. I received my new axim x51v in december and put my X5 out to grass. I have learned a lot from this site and applied tweaks etc. - thanks to all. I am running A06 and have managed to get wireless networking running on my home network via netgear router. Generally I think the machine is great - especially now I can run ful length DVDs following advice on this site.

I recently did a hard reset to see if it would clear a problem of slow restart. when I switch on - it takes about 30secs for the ax to become resposive to screen taps - as if its busy working away at something - a bit like XP booting up. anyway - that problem is still there. now I have a new one - when I place the Ax in its cradle to synch - it does so, but after a few mins a diologue box pops up "unable to obtain a srever assigned IP address. try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings" - tap ok and it goes away. Yes - I have been fiddling with network concetions and think I may have altered a setting but cant work it out

anyone any ideas to either or both of these problems please?
