The computer you are streaming from needs to be connected directly to your internet with a cable not wirelessly connected if that is the case. A wireless 802.11b can only do 11mb/s and a cat5 ethernet cable can do 100mb/s so its about 10 times more bandwidth. The resolution of the streamed file could be to big for your availiable bandwidth so you may have to re-encode it to a smaller resolution or decrease the bitrate for it to work smoothly. If you use a router to wirelessly connect the more devices connected to it and sending and receiving from it the lower your bandwidth goes.
