O.K., so I think I've got it:

WM5.0 *will* make full use of the Axim's VGA screen, WITHOUT "VGA HACK" SOFTWARE, as long as an application is programmed to recognize that VGA is available and is written to make use of it. Examples include Pocket IE, Pocket Excel, and Pocket Word.

What is the purpose, then, of installing this "hack software?" Can it take applications that are *not* programmed to display in VGA and make them VGA? And doesn't that just make them appear really tiny and on only 1/4 of the screen like a lot of people complain about?
