Much like on the Palm PDA (where many install a 3rd party launcher such as ZLauncher), the PPC PDA can be made much more intuitive in day-to-day usage by adding to it.
For a tabbed interface, you might look at PocketPlus or iLauncher. For the cascading start programs menus, WisBarAdvance2.
Also, there's a number of tutorials here on AximSite and many members have populated their
View MyPDA with useful information. Mine has a link to my Palm to PPC migration and a link to organizing the Today Screen (among other links).
