I have received the new x51v and I am not able to have it working with activesync using the USB cable.

If I use the IR I have no problems but as soon as I try to connect the USB cable it is trying to connect for a long long time and I have to disconnect the cable.

Do I have to change some parameters? I have tried to connect a different PDA and it is working without problems with USB.

Try opening Activesync on your desktop. Click file and then Connection Settings and make sure "Allow USB connection with this desktop computer" is checked.

I've got VPN software from (my company installed Juniper Networks and Zone Labs software), and I can't see any local network without being logged into the VPN. I saw that the network connection to the Axim didn't work (indicated on my XP laptop) and even when logged into the VPN, the Axim wouldn't connect. Same symptoms, although Ir and all other connections won't work, either... just thought I'd mention the VPN software since it's kinda irregular. Will try from a more standard machine tomorrow.

Frustrating: I'm house sitting, so I don't have access to their wireless network (they use MAC lists + n only) and my desktop's main drive died this morning so stopping by home is useless. Will I *ever* get to play with my new toy? Nice to know it can charge, at least :), :(
