Hmm Activesync 4 --> Mess up the PC's Wi-Fi connection

I have another issue after I get the USB sync. works.

Everytime when Activesync connected to my PDA, it creates a network adaptor. In doing so it completely mess up with my 802.11g wi-fi connection. My Wi-fi connection seems to be re-connected when the adaptor appears, then a few seconds later, fully disconnected and cannot get it back. I have to reboot to clean this up.

Anyone face this? I'm using the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG card with my Dell laptop.

Hi! I had the exact same problem, but with an Intel Wireless 2915ABG card in my Dell Inspiron 9300. I searched the web without finding an answer, but I found the answer on my own.

I fixed my problems with this by reinstalling the Intel Wireless drivers from Dell. Since doing that, that problem has not reappeared.

Hope that helps you too!

Thanks, I will try this tonight. I'm a bit worry that Dell's driver is quite old compare to the one Intel's offering, which has some power management issue with my router. I will try to install the Intel one first.

I would advise against that. The dell drivers are usually the most up to date drivers available, and have been designed to work with your laptop. The intel drivers are generic. Even though the dates on the Dell drivers are usually wrong, the versions on the site are newer than the ones on your system. Using the generic drivers from the manufacturer, made more problems than solutions on my old Dell laptop. But with AS 4.0 my Latitude D600 works great.
