Stoke

Trying to have ActiveSync installed at work, and latest certified version is 3.7.1. Tech guy tried to install it and killed off my USB port completely, seemingly...now I can't even charge the Axim, and when I connect it, the computer and Axim don't detect each other. After he tried some ineffectual "troubleshooting" for a good hour, I shoo'ed him away to come back later since I had work to do, but let's just say I don't have the greatest faith in his tech skillz, so I thought I'd ask here. Anyone else ever hear of this kind of thing, or run into it before? It's on an IBM Thinkpad, on a replicator port, in case that helps further. Much thanks and gratitude for any help.
