Activesync 4.1
Activesync version 4.1 has been leaked
for anbody having issues with AS 4.0 this is good news
it looks much more stable than AS 4.0 even on WM3
wonder why Microsoft haven't published it yet
would like to have some comment on this from a guy with WM5 installed
here's the link
http://files.pdamobiz.com/ActiveSync4.1_build4807.rar
this thread has moved to software forum -activesync

Hi, 4.1 has been floating about for a while, I've been using it with my x51v for the last few weeks, not had any sync issues at all.

Probably not for most people. If you are going to convert to wm2005 then you could try it but if you aren't changing then it probably doesn't offer much. I put it on my laptop at work and kept 3.8 here at home.

How long should the BT sync take? I have tried it, but it usually takes 30 seconds just to say connected, and it never starts syncing the informtation. Anyone who has gotten the BT sync to work right let me know. I am using a Latitude to sync it, and have TrendMicro, with all the allowances set forth from Microsoft.com about opening ports.

Any idea what issues it will fix? I've got a couple of quirks that are driving me nuts right now. ie: Why does the Axim turn back on every so often when I want it to be off and charging via USB? The schedule says for it to do a backup only manually but that works for crap.

I read somewhere that 4.1 requires that you use Outlook as your default email program. No alternatives. Any truth to this horrible rumour?

I bypassed Outlook for email as soon as I could and (under duress) only use it as a means to access the Axim PIM features. Find me a new onboard PIM with a lightweight desktop component and I'll be there!

But not, perhaps, with AS 4.1?
